This is a benefit pageant for the American Cancer Society. Proceeds go to the 2009 Gainesville - Hall County Relay for Life. Come make a difference in the fight against cancer. All participants will be there to have fun and to honor current cancer patients fighting their own personal battle with cancer. You CAN make a difference for them!

Age Divisions

0m – 12m Infant Miss            8-9 Little Miss

         13m-24m Baby Miss               10-11 Junior Pre Teen

 25m-36m Toddler Miss           12-13 Pre -Teen

                                                                                           37m-48m Petite Miss             14-15 Junior Teen

                                                                                           4-5yrs. Tiny Miss                   16-17 Teen

                                                                                           6-7 Princess                            18+ Miss

** If there are more than 12 contestants in an age division the group will be split by birth date into 2 groups thus crowning 2 queens. You will be notified via email if this happens to your age group 3 days prior to pageant.

Entry

Participant fee is $55.00. ( T-shirts for all that sign up before the early deadline of April 18, 2009)

Please make checks/money orders to Hall County Queens for CARE/Relay for Life.

Optional contests (prettiest eyes, hair, smile, dress, and photo) are $5.00 each (you can enter none, some, or all)

Awards

In each age division there will be a winner, 1st runner up, and 2nd runner up. Groups with 10 or more there will be 3rd & 4th announced. The winners will receive their age division title, beautiful rhinestone crown, custom embroidered banner, trophy, and are invited to join the Relay for Life teams at Relay for Life 2009 at Road Atlanta. All participants will receive a metal for their help in the fight against cancer. No one will go home empty handed.

Each age division will have a winner for the optional divisions of prettiest eyes, hair, smile, dress, and photograph. The optional winners will receive a ribbon banner and medal.

Optional Supreme Miss Title Competition

BECOME A "RELAY FOR LIFE SWEETHEART" & BE GUARANTEED A CROWN!!!!

To compete for the Supreme title a participant must raise at least $100.00 to qualify. The participant can raise money by selling Relay for Life raffle tickets for $2.00 each or asking friends and family for donations to Hall County Queens for CARE/Relay for Life. Please contact the director to get your raffle tickets. OR……

Go on line at www.hallrelay.com , click "view teams", click "Queens for C.A.R.E.", click join team, click "Pre Paid by Team Captain, then set up your personal page for donations with all your info & a photo if you have one.

*** The title of "Supreme Miss Hall County Queen for C.A.R.E." will be awarded to the participant who raises the most money in donations. The Supreme Queen prizes will include a large rhinestone crown, custom banner, trophy, lapel pin, and Relay for Life T-shirt, and is invited to join the Relay for Life teams at Relay for Life 2009. The 1st & 2nd runner up Supreme fundraiser will receive a larger crown and ribbon sash.

All participants that raise $100.00 for this title will be earn the title of Relay for Life Sweetheart" and be crowned on stage with a special tiara during your age division award ceremony.

All optional Supreme Queen money must be turned in Friday, May 01, 2009 by 12:00 noon.

The Supreme winner, and 1st & 2nd fundraiser runners up will be a surprise announcement when the winners age division is being crowned. All ladies that raise $100.00 or more will be invited to Relay for Life Hall County by making a special appearance with your crowns!

Judging

Judges will be scoring in 4 categories, each on a scale of 1-10. 1) natural beauty, 2)presentation (grace/modeling), 3) personality (smile, eye contact, introduction), and 4) over all appearance (hairstyle, dress color, fit, length, age appropriateness)

The participant will take the microphone from the hostess and speak her personal introduction. The personal introduction is to include the participants name, age, school or place of employment, and one fact about cancer.

The judge’s score sheets are available, at the registration desk, 30 minutes after crowning is completed. Judges decisions will be FINAL.

Rehearsal

There will be no official rehearsal. If you want to view the stage before your group competes please arrive 15 minutes prior to your registration time.

Stage walk is as follows: Enter "stage right", stop on X do your introduction, go to "center stage" do a large circle turn, go to "stage left" stop on X then exit.

Requirements

Reside in the state of Georgia. Submit entrance fee & application. REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS April 18, 2009. LATE APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED THROUGH

MAY 1, 2009 FOR AN ADDITIONAL FEE OF $20.00.

Dress Attire

Sunday best, Easter attire, flower girl, prom, or pageant dress should be worn. (FYI long dresses for ages 6+ show the best) Age appropriate make-up, jewelry, and hair accessories only. ( i.e.,Lip balm for Baby thru Princess groups, no lip stick, too much make-up may reflect a lower score)

Pageant Day

* Check in for ages 6m-48months, Infant Miss – Petite Miss will start at 9:00a.m.

Infant Miss group be checked in and ready to go on stage at 9:45a.m. An adult must go on stage with 6month- 48 month old participants. The adult chaperone will say the introduction for their participant as they come on stage.

Infant Miss division will start at 10:00a.m.. Each age division will follow.

Participants need to arrive pretty much dressed. There are bathrooms at the food court area. There is a small separate dressing room just off the stage area. Please let the ages divisions that are on stage "next" have first use of the dressing room space. Infant Miss – Petite Miss will be crowned after the 4 groups compete, but before ages 4 & up compete.

* Check in for ages 4 -11, Tiny Miss – Junior Pre-Teen is 11:30 a.m.

Tiny Miss competition will start at 12:30P.M., each age division will follow. An adult may go on stage with 4-5 year olds if needed.

Participants should arrive pretty much dressed. There are bathrooms at the food court area. There is a small separate dressing room just off the stage area. Please let the ages divisions that are on stage "next" have first use of the dressing room space. Tiny Miss – Junior Pre Teen crowning will be done at the completion of the Junior Pre Teen competition but before the Pre-Teen division starts competition.*Check in for ages 12+, Pre- Teen – Miss is 1:30 p.m.

The Pre-Teen competition will start after the Junior Pre-Teen crowning at approx. 2:30p.m.. Each age division will follow. Participants should arrive pretty much dressed. There are bathrooms in the food court area. There is a small separate dressing room just off the stage area. Please let the ages divisions that are on stage "next" have first use of the dressing room space. The crowning for the Pre-Teen crowning will be done at the completion of the Miss competition. Each division will then be crowned in order of competition.

Admission Donation

Admission donation is $2.00 ages 2+ for roped chair area. Fountain seating & standing area will pass the hat for donations for the American Cancer Society. Participant & one parent are admitted free of charge.

Appearances

*The queens will be invited June 5, 2009, for the Hall County Relay for Life Event to be introduced on stage with crown and banner.

* Queens will have the opportunity to ride in the Hall County July 4th parade.

* Queens will be invited to the Hall County Relay Celebration lunch.2008 Queens for CARE titleholders can hostess on pageant day

Photos taken during the event may be used for advertising purposes. Contestants who provide false information on this application will be disqualified. Any un-sportsman like conduct from participants or spectators will not be tolerated. This activity is to be in good spirit for those who are in the battle of their lives. We are performing in their honor and will act accordingly. Refunds will not be provided for any reason as all money is for charity and is tax deductible.
